May 19th - 22nd Written Update

Ranbir worried; shares his concerns with Banwari about Lajjo's aversion to him and Rekha's plotting regarding the pandit. Ranbir is adamant not to let Lajjo's naivety get her in to trouble.

Lajjos' mama worries about Lajjo but mami sets his mind at ease saying that Lajjo is well looked after by Rekha and Uday and they should return home.

Ranbir gives Lajjo a picture of Guru Nanak as a blessing which she hesitantly takes. He asks her what the pandit said but Lajjo evades the question and leaves; Ranbir is at least happy that she talked to him for two minutes.

Mama, Mami arrives and Kuljeet [Mama] gives Ranbir the cold shoulder before informing the Singh family that they are leaving. Lajjo weeps but Mami pacifies her and gifts her some perfume before telling her to enjoy herself at her honeymoon and stay close to Uday. Lajjo is unable to tell her about what the Pandit said.

Uday notices Lajjo's tears and comforts her saying that everything will be alright before trying to distract her by cutely saying that he can't pack and asks for help. Lajjo smiles shyly and helps him with the packing. Abhay and Liza arrive and tease them.

Anjali also joins them and complains about her and Vinay not being able to go anywhere. Abhay tells her to talk to Vinay so that they can have a second honeymoon and they all laugh.

Anjali goes to Rekha and shares her concerns about Liza and Lajjo spending time together at their honeymoon and wonders what will happen if Lajjo becomes like Liza. Rekha smiles and thinks to herself that this won't happen and wonders who to use as a pawn to stop Uday and Lajjo. She notices Rama and gets an idea.

Rekha goes to the kitchen and mixes something in Rama's tea and smiles. Naina takes th eta out and gives it to Rama; Rekha is happy to see this.

Later; as the children are leaving, Rekha asks for Rama. Ranbir calls her and Rekha smirks thinking that her medicine must have taken effect by now. But Rama comes down and Rekha is stunned.

The children take everyone's blessings and are about to leave as Rekha looks tensed. Just then Rama feels dizzy and collapses. Everyone is shocked.

The doctor arrives and advises Rama to take rest and prescribes medicine. Rekha feels bad and tells the children to leave for the honeymoon but Uday and Abhay argue that they won't go. At the end; Abhay and Ranbir convince Uday and Lajjo to go.

Liza is upset and later cries in her room. Rekha comforts her and instigates her against Ranbir; wondering aloud the coincidence that Rama fell ill today itself. Liza wonders why Abhay cancelled their plan despite Rama's insistence that she was okay.

Lajjo feels bad that Abhay and Liza aren't with them. Uday consoles her and Lajjo wonders how she will be able to keep her promise of staying away from Uday while they're both alone.

Singh House…

Liza asks Rama if she wants anything but Rama smiles and sends her away. Dadi comes and gives her medicine. Abahy and Ranbir arrives; Ranbir is angry at Liza and says that she doesn't care about Rama and compares her to Lajjo.

Abhay is upset and goes to his room where eh yells at Liza for not looking after Rama. Liza is stunned and begins to cry saying that because of his family they're drifting apart. Abhay softens and consoles her.

Meanwhile; Uday and Lajjo arrive at the hotel. Lajjo is uncomfortable of her surroundings; especially as Uday bumps in to one of his female friends – Sonam - and they hug. Sonam asks about hsiw ife and Uday introduces her. Sonam is surprised to see his choice but greets Lajjo and smiles saying that his wife is evry beautiful.

Uday and Lajjo go to their room and find it decorated and covered in candles. Uday takes Lajjo's hand and they look at each other romantically.

Later; Uday and Lajjo return home much to the surprise of Rekha. Uday leaves to freshen up and rekha asks Lajjo what happened who weeps and asks for forgiveness as she couldn't keep her promise.

Rekha jerks awake and realises that it was a dream but wonders what will happen if this is a reality.

Hotel…Uday goes to freshen up and when he gets back he smiles and tells Lajjo that he wants to talk to her about something. But then he notices her sleeping and puts the blanket over her and switches of the lights. Lajjo opens her eyes and remembers the Pandit's warning.

Singh House…Banwari advises Ranbir to create problems between Abhay and Liza so that Abhay finally gets fed up and leaves Liza.

Morning…Abhay gets ready to go the gym and Liza agrees to stay behind and look after Rama. Abhay smiles and says that this way everyone will come to know that she's a wonderful DIL as well as a wonderful wife.

Hotel…Uday wakes up and smiles to see Lajjo still sleeping. He iopens the curtains and the light wakes Lajjo up who notices the time and apologises for sleeping so late. Uday smiles and reminds her that they are on holiday.

Lajjo gets up and still looks at Uday as she tries to go to the bathroom. She trips and Uday catches her – they have an eye lock session before Lajjo gets up and hurries away. Uday wonders why Lajjo avoids him.

Singh House…Rama asks Ranbir whether Uday has called. He smiles and replies that they have gone on honeymoon and will call when they have time. Liza comes in with juices for Rama and asks if she needs anything. Rama is pleased and says that if she continues to serve everyone like this then she will grow close the whole family and everyone will love her.

Liza smiles and is about to leave but Ranbir stops her. Liza becomes nervous but Ranbir smiles saying that Rama is right. Liza becomes emotional and thinks him before leaving. Rama is happy with Ranbir.

Rekha is frustrated with Abhay for not calling. Ranjeet tells her to relax. Anjali arrives and asks why she looks so tired; Ranjeet smiles and tells her that Rekha hasn't slept all night worrying about Uday and Lajjo. He tells Rekha to relax and goes.

Anjali tells Rekha that she is ringing them but it maybe they haven't woken up yet. She gives Rekha a meaningful look who looks tensed.

Abhay rings Uday and realises something is wrong. He asks Uday what is bugging him who replies that he feels as if Lajjo is not happy with him. Abhay becomes serious and reminds Uday that Lajjo is different and is unaccustomed to their ways. He tells Uday to take it slow with Lajjo and not forget what she has faced at such a young age.

Uday agrees with him and they end the call. Lajjo comes and smiles when Uday tells her that they will go sightseeing.

Rekha comes to meet Rama who excitedly informs her about how Ranbir talked affectionately to Liza. Rekha wonders what Ranbir is plotting now.

Liza is happy and goes to Abhay and tells her how Ranbir talked nicely to her. Abhay is also pleased and tells Liza thanks him for helping her. Rekha arrives and Huma calls Abhay. Abhay leaves and Liza also tells Rekha about how Ranbir talked to her.

Rekha pretends to be concerned saying that she'll lose her identity like this; as it is she's not here to do the servants work. Liza replies that all she knows is that she wants to win Ranbir over; specially as Abhay's family is now her family and she will do everything to keep the family happy. Besides, if Lajjo can do this then why not her?

Hotel…Uday is getting ready when he sees Lajjo in the mirror. He gazes at her as she shyly tells him that she's ready. They both go sightseeing all over Mumbai; both enjoying themselves and getting closer. [Do watch this sequence!!!]

Singh House…Liza comes to the kitchen and tells Naina that she wants to cook today and so asks Naina to bring some cook books.

Rekah is tensed about how Liza is planning to pleasing the family and decides she must act fast before her pawn slips out of her hands. Uday rings and Rekha asks to talk to Lajjo. She asks Lajjo if she is following Pandit's advice – Lajjo says yes and Rekha is relieved.

She then notices Liza giving Ranbir tea who smiles in return. Rekha hands the phone back to Banwari and enquires as to why Ranbir is behaving so well with Liza. Banwari is nervous and replies that even he doesn't know why.

Hotel…Uday orders noodles and shows Lajjo how to eat them but she can't get it right and looks at him upset. Uday calls the waiter over and orders Parantha for Lajjo. She asks Uday to eat otherwise his food will go cold but he smiles saying that it's okay and they'll eat together.

Lajjo's food arrives and Uday smiles to see her eating.

Singh House…Liza finally finishes the cooking and serves everyone. Naina tells the family that Liza has cooked today; everyone is surprised but Huma tries the food and pulls a face at the amount of salt. Anjali and Rekha scold Liza who becomes teary.

Banwari intervenes saying that Liza has cooked for them for the first time but they're only worried about picking out her faults. Ranbir agrees and assures Liza that she'll get better with time. The family are happy to see his support towards her.
