All the Imlies were good actors. And all of them were different from the other.
Imlie 1 was gaon ki choti ladki, speaking in the typical gaon wali accent. Had big dreams to go to seher to complete her education and become a patrakaar. Her tagline was gaon ki hain but gawar nahi.
Imlie 2 was born in a secured house. Not loved by many in her childhood, she was initially very shy and did whatever was decided for her. She gradually became strong and had a voice of her own.
Imlie 3 was a complete orphan in true sense without any family. Different from the two Imlies. Imlie 3 had to shoulder responsibilities from a very young age. A bar birl, a seductive gaon ki chori and bold in every possible way.
Imlie 1 and 2 had vamps rulling. Imlie 3 never had such strong vamps. It had a villain who was made good again at the end.
No absolute shade to previous seasons..But I just loved how in season 3, they never entertained a permanent third angle, unlike first 2 seasons.. This really made a huge difference to my viewing experience, personally..
As a person who consumes romance in every medium, books, movies, series and all that jazz.. I don't like when the third angles take permanent space... They could act as a catalyst in the love stories.. (like Nyonika, Binni or even Anjali), but if you give them so much a space even in the show's poster (Malini, Cheeni), then it doesn't do it for me..
(And maybe that's why Arylie scored as well for me, cos the third angle was just a catalyst there too, without taking center stage..)
I just want the 2 ppl in love, to have the entirety of focus, and all the other parallel characters & their stories to revolve around them.. And that's where, Agastya-Imlie and even Surya-Imlie won my heart...
Thanks Gul!
(You might have wrapped up the show pretty early on, and all of us might take sometime to accept it, even after knowing this for more than a month now.. But thank you, for not introducing third angles, and torturing us with infidelity like all the other ongoing shows. )
