A volatile marriage will always traumatize children in one way or the other. So yea I’m sure some of Ranbir’s questionable and toxic traits, if not most of it, could be attributed to the environment he grew up in. Not an excuse, just an observation.

In real life if Neetu had chosen to leave Rishi she could have taken her kids with her just like Babita did. Not that her kids fared any better according to rumors and gossip, but that may have been a Babita issue rather than a separation issue. Or the whole thing might be results of some Raj Kapoor issues that has trickled down. By all accounts Shashi was a decent human being and a loyal loving husband and his kids seem fine too.

Ohh I actually remember reading a blurb once, years after the release of this film, which basically claimed that Rishi Kapoor had admitted to giving the tabloids the green light to publish a bogus story about an affair with Juhi Chawla as a way to promote the film. I hadn’t even known this was a thing before KJo . Anyway, whether true or false or just a way to cover for the affair … no clue. But if true it opens the discussion of did anyone ask the woman in this instant if she was OK with this rumor? Because if this is true then it’s definitely happened in many other instances too. Because Pooja Bhatt also claimed that rumors of her affair with Aditya Pancholi were just marketing gimmicks by the makers of their movie together.
