What's with Emaan's father? He already has a son in law who tries to leech off him and now he's ready to give in to the demands of the new son in law's family?

Sure, Zain is unaware and this is all his mother's doing but Emaan's dad doesn't know that. Why would he even think that Emaan would be happy in such a greedy family?

He heard his daughter talking happily to her fiance but that's because she doesn't know about the money. He called Emaan out for keeping the whole Sameer story from him but he's keeping a much worse secret from her.

I expected better from a "caring, loving" father

Btw Zain's Mom basically spent 12.5 Lakhs on clothes for wedding..she is not very bright..saazish main apna khud ka kaun nuksaan karta hai

I actually think Emaan’s presence in his life will be the support he needs but the main kickstart to his change will be the reveal that his mom was murdered by his family. There’s a scene in the trailer where he’s actually beating someone up? So don’t think emaan can influence such behavior. It’s pure revenge.

But yes like you said it shouldn’t be aik dum se. So far the build up is slow so hopefully nothing in the future would be that drastic either

Yes,

The main emotion that drives him is his guilt ! If he finds out that his mom was murdered then he won't feel guilty for killing her and that would be a trigger for him to change.

But hoping that the change will be gradual and not abrupt.
