tell me though ..what should an actor do when he is asked specific questions ? Reply with “no comments”? An actor is answerable to his paymasters first and the fans come much after ..we can sit here and judge and shout and scream ..it will have zero impact ..because we are not the ones signing their pay cheques nor are we going to offer them their next assignments ..part of an actor’s job is to engage with the media and build hype around the show ..so he or she is going to talk about how they perceive their characters …because they are playing them on screen ..so they will have to get into the psyche of that character and try to explain why they are what they are…you might buy the explanation or you might call it out as BS ..but surely asking actors not to talk about their perceptions of their roles is a bit much ? All of us hold jobs in our real lives ..we might like some part of it and hate some part of it..but we won’t go out there and badmouth what we do ..particularly not if we are part of the media …just shared my point of view on what you said about actors being better off not talking ..anyway you have a right to think what you do ..peace !
