Does Bollywood Have A Female Representation Problem?

Is it just me is there a lack of female representation in the industry overall? We all know the state of current actresses…. But even when I look at Directors and Singers…. There aren’t many good ones. We’re still clinging onto Farah (hasn’t directed in 10 years) Zoya mostly…. And singers nobody has really blown up since Shreya Ghoshal. Not sure what’s going on? It doesn’t seem to be this way with the male counterparts

I would say there is definitely a severe lack of young talent in all the departments. All the current lot are either above 40 or quickly reaching there. We need some young actors, directors, music directors, lyricists, writers, cinematographers, editors, singers etc.

Not just bollywood. Everywhere in the world. Men are at important positions by majority. Look at scientific inventions. Very few women inventors.

Maybe there are some biological female representations in the indistry but we don't know about them

cz they don't identify as female or as any gender
