Even in my immediate and extended family most of them are teachers so they barely have time to watch any. The only show I remember watching is "Chithi" starring Sivakumar and Radhika during the 2000s. Tamil people will know for sure which one I am referring to.

My childhood instead was full of watching regional old films from the 30-60s thanks to my Grandma. I think I am the only one who watches shows that too Hindi ones lol in my entire family as far as I know.

She meant Arshi only. I’m confused with Ani’s reaction though.. that’s why I asked did Ani ever mention Jasmine garden during his pda session? I skipped that episode so was not sure. But looks like writers randomly picked Jasmine.. not meant to be the other meaning

Yeh I thought so too… I think J meant “Jasmin garden “ as arshi. And herself as someone only good enough to see sugar field

she is saying Ani showed her some luxury so what? You have lot of it… but the girls who are not like me they see Jasmin garden (something which is more luxurious than sugar field) prob telling ani , you show her Jasmin gardens right ( seems sarcastic to me) I don’t think there is bad reference here. She than says for poor girl like her even if she seems sugar fields they are content with that ! She calling herself inferior to arshi , and also saying that she hasn’t experienced as much luxury as Arshi or indirectly Ani hasn’t shown her as much luxury as Arshi, than what is he so worried about it. And even with whatever she has or Ani has given to her, she is content with it. This is how I am interpreting this
