That pretty much sums it up !
LOVE REALISATION jaye TEL lene !
His Highness (in all his lowness!) - Apka pehle yeh REALISATION hona bahut zaruri hai ki this mindset seeds from deep-rooted superority complex, sexism, misogyny and chauvinism !
And this toxic masculinity is so ingrained, that I am not sure, how(if at all) it can be up-rooted? - if ever we want a character redemption in it's truest sense !
No number of monologues, dialogues, soliloquies will suffice, the mindset that has reflected in the last few episodes and the episodes that will follow - if ever they were to come together, there will never be equality in the relationship !
And the makers will subtly shove this under the carpet with the underlying Mard hai, dard huya hai kinda message ! Show something extreme happen to either of them, and the other salvaging the situation and then lo and behold - all well and sorted ! Romanticing abuse is not ok !
Jealousy or no jealousy, Jhanak or no Jhanak, this mindset needs to be addressed and killed/flushed out !
Somebody needs to make him feel really bad for this, that was there hidden through out his life and has surfaced only now.
Would complete disdain from Chhoton or Boro ma help him realise? May be they hear him bad-mouth Jhanak and they completely boycott him !
He does not even have too many people in his life who he actually looks up to - tbh can't blame him, the people around are not exemplary !
Probably because he has lived in a shell all his life, he has never really trusted anyone enough, a defence mechanism to not suffer heart break or loss - happens when you think more with your head than your heart !
He does not have any one who he can truly call his own - a friend, a mentor who he would want to make that person super proud or be really ashamed to let that person down !
He is a loner in a house full of people and has extreme trust issues for the only one he truly considers his own and has real fear of losing ! He can't accept that she could have some one else in her life !
To make things worse, he is so bad with judging people may be because he has interacted with the human race superficially and just enough that is deemed sociable !
During today's episode, a lot of scenes when the family was excitedly discussing the future marriage plans, he looked sad, tired and could not care less. His smile was forced, mann marke trying to look happy.
And while Krushaal is a damn good actor and this could be his nuanced touch, Ani is not a good actor at all
I was tempted to feel sorry for him and then I remembered the last few episodes
IF allows 11 posts for newbies like me in a day - I would be so happy if there is a CAP to the number of rubbish dialogues that Ani can spit out in a day. Say 5 and then he is taxed or muted !
There is indeed no accountability for the words that come out from the Basu clan's mouth !
P.S -Krushal's nose brush at the naak ghusarni hai apko dialogue was great improvisation - it brought comic relief to an otherwise dark scene. Good that the director let him do it and it made the cut !
