Yes Nadia Afghan is step mother definitely and that abuser might me older brother. I think, Salar's father must have married Salar's mother for her wealth. Otherwise, why would he be the heir? Also his mother was definitely murdered either by Nadia or that step brother..This is what I think.

Do you think Salaar could be adopted? I mean, the father could've just adopted him for money and married his step mom?

maybe the A-hole dad married Salaar's mum (despite being married already) and she had a kid from a previous marriage..and they killed the mum and held Salaar hostage..
