I don’t think they would have heard it.. shock reaction may be due to seeing Armaan carrying her after everything that has happened..

Dadi will get her reality check sooner or later.. when she knows who the real duki Atma and grahan of the family is.. the shock and the guilt she will have when she sees the real face of her favourite bahu whom she brought in for her favourite grandson will be worth-watching..

I agree with your points but wanted to make a small correction Abhinav wasn’t the male lead of the past gen.He was cameo/parallel lead.. each generation has one fl and one ml. Gen 1 - Akshara Naitik, Gen 2 - Naira Kartik, Gen 3 - Akshara Abhimanyu and Gen 4 - Abhira Armaan.. it doesn’t matter if they end up together or not.. you can check wiki..

Agree the show is becoming toxic and yes Yuvraj Abhira had better chemistry but alas he is a murderer so not possible
