Nehal Wadhera: It’s a really good opportunity. Finally it came, I’m happy to do well but I will be more happy if my team wins. We lost of couple of wickets early on, my duty was to wait for the loose balls, we had done it together in the previous season and we had the confidence in ourselves to do well again, hoping our team crosses the line and wins. When we usually have practice sessions, I turn up on the ground early. I used to go early with Surya bhai and we used to play like match simulation, that gave me confidence that although I’m not playing a match, it feels like playing a match in practice. It’s amazing to bat with him the fun and banter also keeps going in between, the way he batted is also commendable, credit to him.

9.16pm What a see-saw innings this has been and we witnessed comebacks from both teams in it. Mumbai initially had no business to get even past 150 when they were 52 for 4 in the eighth over and Chahal had taken his 200th IPL wicket. But Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera got together to script a stunning partnership; Tilak batted patiently to build a bae while Wadhera went after the loose balls to keep attacking before they both went out all guns blazing after the fifty stand. Ashwin went wicketless but was economical, Chahal and Avesh were expensive and the star from Royals was Sandeep.
