Sadly, that was indeed the harsh reality of BW since the underworld took an interest in it.

I don't know how much of it applies even now, but I won't be shocked if it still happens 😒

In 90s Bollywood was infested with underworld threats. It started from 1960s as it was difficult to get film financing. Producers started approaching Underworld dons for financing n underworld ppl turned their black money into white. Also underworld ppl liked glamour.

Whole film industry do drugs barring a few. It is normalized in bollywood. I would rather worry about things like casting couch. That is more harmful even if it is consensual.

Why would SRK be the underworld's favorite? None of his movies were financed by them, unlike Salman, Sanjay Dutt, etc. In fact, he was targeted by them. He kept tight security and made Mannat bulletproof.

Because SRK used to give hit obviously. Underworld wouldn't want their money run into losses.

SRK wasn't a producer back then he was just an actor. Producers used to take money from underworld.

Many movies of many actors were financed we only know what came in limelight.
