Armaan's history

I recently started to watch the 4th gen of yeh rishta. What is the story of Armaan not being the "actual" son of the Poddar family? Thanks in advance

He is son of Madhav and his first wife who is dead. Vidya is his step mom. So he's actual son only but Kaveri didn't approve of Armaans biological mom and he came to Poddar house when he was little. And he's always been made to feel "sautela" by Kaveri. Vidya has accepted him but she has a bias for her own son definitely. But she's not evil or anything. She does love Armaan too. But if push comes to shove she will remember Armaan isnt her khoon but Rohit is.

Madhav- Armaan have had a strained relationship too.

Armaan loves Vidya a lot and is grateful that she accepted him- a stepson and he seeks Kaveri validation.

Ohhh I thought Armaan's father had an affair with armaan's mother while being married to Vidya. Thanks for clearing the confusion.

Armaan's dad married a woman and she died after giving birth to their child, Armaan. Dadisa didn't accept her as Madhav 's wife and got madhav married to the girl of her choice Vidya. Vidya came to know after marriage that her husband already had a wife and a small child, she wasn't told before marriage .
