The makers somehow must redeem Adi's character. There must be some reason for his hatred, after all how they presented him in 1.O.

Either there must be some backstory or some way he realizes his mistake and regrets.

Also, if everything is resolved by Kavya and then he realizes his mistake, the character will completely loose its importance. So, there may be changes soon before they expose Amma/Anurag.

No backstory will help him redeem now.

If Kavya accepts him easily he will do it again.

So he will have to earn the respect even if he is faking it.

And writers should not degrade Kavya's character more.

Yes, the backstory may not redeem him completely, but it may help is connecting Adi and viewers emotionally again. I think, Kavya will also regret a bit when the truth is revealed and the real culprit (Anurag) is exposed. So there may be a possibility of both regret and come together.

There are many possibilities here, not sure what the writers have in mind.

Yes, the makers should not bring down Kavya's character. They should bring in changes in Adi's character and he should withdraw the case and get her back her job and respect first. The remaining things may be resolved after that.

Yes, finally some changes in both Adi and Kavya's characters. Hopefully, the makers continue with the story instead of creating misunderstandings/hatred again for drama.

He is smiling after long time

Exactly, if they show him flip again, then his guilt/realization will have no meaning and it will look all fake. He should now think carefully and not trust things as presented to him.
