Is this an intentional effort to trick members into becoming Followers of public forums (and getting nuisance notifications) by clicking Join buttons when we don't have to?

I am here to report few issues and suggestions here. Can we get an option to remove forum managers if the member has deactivated their account? As we can choose someone else as manager if one person is not available.

Can we get an option to check if the user is mid of all active or inactive users? It need not give us all info how mids are detected but may be it can just tell us whether it's a potenital mid or not. As that will save alot of time of moderators as well as other members.

I noticed that if the user is newbie then post maker can hide his or her post. Can we have an option for post maker to hide posts of ppl who moral police or bully them. Moderators can unhide it if it's a false alarm. As if forum has moderators who works during different hours by the time moderators logs in those bullying posts will be visible to all users of IF.

Instead of that a thread maker should get an option to protect themselves in IF from those ppl who bully real people just because they worship itv characters.

For Polls, could there be an option where the poll/ options could just be locked, and it stops accepting votes without locking down the thread so discussions can continue on it?

What about these improvements to polls, suggested by me since many months ago?

I would like notifications that "MEMBER voted in your poll" so that I don't have to keep checking whether anyone is interested in the poll. Ideally, the poll creator would be able to mouse-over or click the bar for each option and see a list of members who chose that option. It would allow the poll creator to reach out and start conversations.
