May be because he don't want a repeat of what happened today. There's no way to control bhabhi's craziness, so he might want to reveal the truth and clear his side with Abhira. He cannot reveal about the divorce papers without revealing his past with Ruhi and her recent despo acts. This looks like a step to make sure Abhira won't misunderstand him for bhabhi's psycho actions.

I think ruhi will try take her live on the bridge so ar will try to stop her in which she demands to reveal their secret and he is ready for it
