Ok just saw Ruhi dialogue accusing Arman of using all his energy to hide their love and Arman kinda agrees. So, from this conversation alone, it looks like Arman still harbors feelings for Ruhi.

hard he was working at holi, Abhira not saying deal marriage or Ruhi confessing about the past.

Armaan used the word past tense when he talks about his love for Ruhi,

Armaan is a lawyer he makes comment that are called Plausible Deniability. Which means

one day he'll tell Ruhi, I never once told you I still love you or if I divorce Abhira, I'll be with you.

Which he never did but Ruhi has plans and even promise p-nanu

Like Armaan vaada that Ruhi talks about today

"No one can ever take your place in my heart" What does that even mean

that comment is universal, it can be use for a best friend, a pet, a lover, a child or parent, each

has a place in our heart, even those we hate.

Second part of Armaan bakwaas vaada, "You are the meaning of love for me"

One thing is clear ruhi don't know the meaning of true love kyunki pyaar na toh kisike kehne se hota aur na hi kisike kehne feelings aani band ho jati na usme selfless hoti hai selfishness nhi jisse ap pyaar karte ho uske liye sacrifice karna use tight spot mein nhi rakna and she is afraid ki dono ko ek dusre pyaar na ho jaaye this is not love

On one hand he says she is never gonna be more than Rohit ki wife. Says nothing can ever happen between us.

On the other hand he says- I cant see you sad so I will talk about divorce with Abhira .

Please decide karlo- Rohit is gone for a while now, Ruhi is itching to marry him , 1 year shaadi deal is almost ending. what is he waiting for?

I honestly would understand his dilemma if he was trying to decide between 2 arranged marriage prospects. but in his case he supposedly loved Ruhi- so it should be comparatively easier to decide if he still loves her or not. he may not love Abhira but if he knows whether he still loves Ruhi or not, he can decide based on that.

Why are they not showing that conflict

I would empathize with him as a character is they showed that conflict in his head instead of other things. He should ask himself- does he really love Ruhi enough to marry her even now ?

Because if he doesnt plan to marry Ruhi, what is the point. he'd rather do something concrete to make himself unavailable so that she leaves him and both of them can get over each other.

And I dont mind him breaking Abhiras heart as much as I love her as long as he is respectful and honest with her. She deserves full truth from him with a full explanation. She is really level headed, mature girl- she will understand

The basic premise itself is so messed up. When you decide to end a relationship- you need to concretely make yourself unavailable to them for sometime so that both parties can get over the other. But both of them are playing dosti dosti and Armaan goes from clearly rejecting her to then running behind her,panicking for her like an aashiq.

I think makers have shown he is not over Ruhi from the time he stayed back to feed her. It was very well conveyed in dark room scene with FB and song.

His rejections to Ruhi so far are not because of Abhira. But Rohit. He thinks he will wrong his brother and family- that is why he said they can’t get together. He didn’t say I don’t love you its we cant be together coz bla bla —

All through he maintained one thing that Abhira is his responsibility.

If he wanted Ruhi to move on, he would have asked her to consider that US wala boy. But instead he fainted (correct me if I m wrong but they never clearly showed that he was exhausted before - that was left for audience assumptions)
