I feel one of the main reasons for TB's success is we dont get pure romantic shows like that anymore. Every other show these days is filled with social issues and boring sub stories which sidelines the main leads. TB is no masterpiece but it delivered what it promised.

by usual romance standards in PTV dramas, it really was a masterpiece tho. And I’m not talking about the Yumhaj chemistry - that was the flawless cherry on top. But actually having a structure in the story, consistent character arcs plus the dialogues/banter in scenes be it romance or angst - those dialogues had impact. The subplots did push the main romance story forward.

Chemistry is when two actors’ craft bounces off of each other seamlessly but when the writing of scenes also hits the audience and support the chemistry, that’s when the magic happens. Pick any Meerasim scene. Their banter is actually written well. Nooran’s blunders aside, she knows how to write romantic scenes and to create moments - she prioritised it.
