G - I am sorry about last time. I said a bit too much.

M - It's okay. You were mostly right.

G - No. You…you have always been very sincere and kind to me and whatever there is not there between us... still I shouldn't have... I don't think there is nothing... you are an important person in my life and not because of what you have done for me but because you just are. And even if somethings were correct, I shouldn't have said it that way and at that time. But I was ... at that time I was...

Maan listens to her apology with glee but listening halfway he wants her to stop.

He half hugs her from behind and pats her shoulder.

M - It's in the past. Don't think about horrible times again and again. I don't mind. I have already forgotten about it. Okay?

G - But ... I was ... how can you easily say you have forgotten about it? I was horrible towards you. And I am really sorry. This past month I have been repenting and feeling guilty and have really been afraid of how to talk to you again.

M - Shhh. I said it's okay. It wasn't easy for me to understand you at first. But you were right. And once I understood, I stopped minding it. You don’t need to feel any of these things.

Geet turns around after turning off the bubbling gas.

Her head lowered still not daring to look at him.

What if he is just saying these things but his eyes are cold and indifferent?

He pulls her closer and allows her to rest her head against his heart.

M - I am really okay. We are okay. You were right. We got a bit too close, too fast. Not understanding each other fully. We did need some time apart to calm down a little. And we need to understand each other more deeply not just each other’s personality but our values and priorities. And we are not in a hurry, right? We have plenty of time.

She nods in agreement.

M - You were right about the contract too. If I start interfering, I really wouldn't know where to stop and it might leave you feeling smothered and overwhelmed after some time. If you need my help, I know you will ask me.

G- Hmm.

M - Don't be afraid anymore. It's no fun if you become afraid of me.

G – Hmm

M - Babe are you secretly feeling up my chest muscles?

Geet slaps his chest hard and pushes him away.

G - No way!!

Turning back to making tea.

Maan could see her ears turning a bit red.

Feeling happy as if his mission is accomplished, he didn't tease her anymore.

M - You are leaving tomorrow?

G - Yeah…I can't stay longer this time.

M- it's fine. Don't meet your family, okay?

G - Yeah. Not meeting them. I have cut off any contact with them. I don't want to be their relative and they don't want to acknowledge me either.

M - Bunch of fools!

G - Yeah ... both our families are.

M - That reminds me, if you get an invite from my parents to attend their marriage anniversary party. You don't have to accept it.

Geet hears and understands the subtle in between unsaid words.

If she gets an invite, even though he is their only son, the invite is not guaranteed.

And Maan didn't want her to attend.

G - I don't know if I will be free. When is it? Will you be attending?

She again finds that unreadable passive expression on his face.

M - I don't want to.

After a pause he looks away and speaks.

M-But if you want to go, I will tag along. It's on xx xxx date.

Geet’s actions paused.

She can never forget this date.

This time the memories come flooding back easily.

The big party.

Her standing behind the pasta counter.

Him pulling her to the dance floor.

Ruining the evening effectively for everyone.

G - I see. I won't go then.

M - Hmm it's tearfully boring anyways.

Maan says with make believe enthusiasm in his voice while she notices his jaw being slightly clenched.

Nevertheless, Geet feels relieved and satisfied with this forewarning and agreement to skip the party.

She didn't particularly like his family and although it may bring her some benefits as a celebrity.

She didn't want those, right now her peace of mind was more important.

Geet brings some snacks and tea, and both sit down on the couch while watching TV and chatting casually.

M- I saw your music video.

G- You did? Did you like it? Was it good? Was I okay?

M- Yeah, you were great.

G- Thanks, that means a lot. I mean thanks for watching the video…I know you must be terribly busy and must have not seen my other work…emm…so…it’s kind of my first time kind of being a lead…I have worked in non-fiction shows…but in fiction I just used to do some sidey role in daily soaps

Maan is nodding his head as if he had not seen her every daily soap scene numerous times.

He knows each and every dialogue she had ever uttered.

M- By the way, who is that male lead with you?

G- He is from Turkey. He is very famous there. All the girls swoon over him.

M- Oh, I see.

He says casually.

M- What’s so great about him?

G- He is so handsome, good looking & great physique. Very camera-friendly features.

M- Yeah, very likable, right?

G- Thorough professional, I say. Working with him was such a breeze. Maybe I will introduce you both when he comes to India. Maybe he is coming in a month…we can plan something then.

M- I might get busy with a big project. A government project. So maybe I may not be able to even meet you for 3-4 months

Before Geet could respond to this news Maan receives a reminder call from his Assistant about the meeting.

M- Geet, I need to join a meeting. Is it okay if I take the call from here?

G- Sure

Geet helps him set up a temporary work desk in the living room, near the balcony door.

G - You can take this meeting here. I'll go into my room.

M - You can stay here if you want. The meeting may be long. It's nothing confidential.

Geet nods.

She switches off the television and settles on the sofa with her script.

While Maan also gatheres the report at his side, connects his ear pods to the laptop and starts the video conference meeting.

After half an hour, feeling a bit thirsty Geet gets up to get some water.

Seeing that Maan had also been speaking for quite a while, she gestures to him if he needs something to drink.

He mutes the mic and asks her for some dinner, tea, and snacks.

While the people in conference couldn't hear what he said.

They all saw him suddenly turn his head smile and say something.

In fact, since the meeting started, they could see Maan often looking sideways and then his eyes would merrily twinkle.

At first, they all thought that he had bought something new, and he is looking at it.

But when they saw him talk to the new thing.

They realized it's a person who he had been looking at all along.

Several of the people were good acquaintances and they all observed the situation and privately discussed who this person could be.

The most agreed upon conjecture was that Maan was at his wife's house.

And the unseen person is the famous illusive wife!!

The people in the video conference grow more enthusiastic hoping to catch a reflection or a glimpse of this great beauty.

Well finally things settled down between Maan and Geet as now after communication they both were at ease ... They had talked about what was troubling them from inside

Geet apologise & Maan relaxed her which was really beautiful ❤️ they talked about their professional responsibilities & coming project taking each other advice ☺️

Well ❤️‍🩹 now Maan is on conference meeting & now all are focusing on the person behind camera whom Maan was looking at with twinkling eyes & they are aware that he is at his wife's place
