I think all this discussion leads to a conclusion that it is not just Rohit… it has to be Rohit trying to feel as Armaan for Ab and direction adding softness from Armaan in the scene. They used to do that for Ar 1.0 but not for 2.0. We have 2 step problem. 1) the actor changed so we are not used to his interpretation and acting 2) the direction and ckt arc changed a lot so we are not able to identify with story so far where Ar 1.0 left and 2.0 Started. Sam is doing her best. Bechaari she's doing her best to build chemistry. They need consistency in performance and direction/editing.
They also need to write a few better scenes.
Would have been nice if Armaan Abhira had moments where Abhira showed him the house and some things that still bear evidence of her growing up. Like her height marks or maybe a small patch of wall that had her hand paintings which was not repainted and hidden behind a cupboard or something. Theres a show called ekdv i used to watch. In season 1 theres a beautiful scene of Sumo and Shravan in her childhood home with her getting emotional about her old memories there. She goes from one area to another remembering things and Shravan follows her with a sad smile seeing her nostalgia and pain. Aise kuch poignant hona chahiye tha.
They did a half baked version of it in the "insta live" thing.but it was cut and it had hardly any impact. They should have made that more witty and fun and jugadu way of attracting tourists and done an emotional tour of house with only Abhimaan.
Whats the point of bringing Armaan to her home if he cant feel and live the memories with her and feel a sense of attachment with the home himself.
Man, sometimes i think agar part-time bhi mujh jaise audience seh ye log ideas consult karte toh better output nikalta. 🙄 They write smart lines especially nok jhoks but they are missing good overall scenes that move the plot in a better way.
