Let's hope he is not a homophobe anymore. His circle used to be very liberal and progressive then. I heard some people in his circle were offended by this and unfriended him. I was quite shocked too. I known from a religious point of view, it is not allowed in Islam but I was quite put off by his choice of words back then. Wish he had just kept quiet.
