I will agree about Madhuri that she always looked older than her male co-stars. Growing up in the 2000s, she was already out of the picture so I didn't see much with her but when I did see her 90s movies, I always felt she looked very old. Like SRK or Salman's older sister than heroine material. I've seen lots of people note this and say that she looked best when paired with Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt because she looked more age appropriate for them.

Even in Devdas, my first movie with her, I always thought her character was supposed to be an older woman. And that part of why her relationship with SRK's Devdas was so taboo wasn't just because she was a courtesan but also because she was older (like in Dil Chahta Hai with Dimple and Akshaye). Similarly in Dil To Pagal Hai, Karishma seems a much better fit for SRK than Madhuri who seems his senior.

In contrast, Juhi never had this problem whether with Aamir or SRK.
