I don’t get it or know much for others. But I have always felt that both Hiba and Krushal are acting awesome….even the characters that I hate have good actors in this show imo. The only reason why Ani Carries the plot along even though the show is titled Jhanak is because Jhanak herself is a weak, young, poor maid who is always bullied. Ani on the other hand is a wealthy and actually the most powerful character in the entire show. It’s Ani’s decisions that happen in the show; he is the one with the agency to make things happen, whether it’s having Jhanak perform or defending her from Tejas. When Ani does something, it happens. He is so strong to the point that when he doesn’t do something, it’s very pronounced and it ruins the episode because he CAN do anything he wants. Jhanak on the other hand is a character that CANNOT do anything. She is literally the punching bag and the Max of her actions are verbal defense which is just turned against her. She does little acts of resistance too, whether it was taking the sleeping pills or taking the slippers from Tanuja, she was reacting strongly, but her strongest is literally at the bottom because she can’t do anything that would matter due to her status. That’s why when Ani was sick, the episodes were hard not because Hiba wasn’t good, but because she was too good at acting the girl in Jhanak’s place. We saw how mistreated Jhanak was and even when she yelled, she was shut back down and assaulted over and over. Now Jhanak is sick, the episodes move quicker because things happen in each one. From when Ani saw her on the terrace to the temple, he was constantly doing things that were big and exciting - because he can do those things and they actually matter. For instance, if Jhanak was in love with Ani now, would it matter? No, it actually won’t except to make her more miserable and mentally pained. It won’t affect anyone apart from her negatively. But it’s another story when Ani is the one in love. He is the most powerful character that is connected to everyone else in such a way that they all treat him right to varying degrees. Ani falling in love is going to shock a bunch of people, incite people, excite people. It means something. Jhanak will only ever be able to truly carry the show at Ani’s level when she becomes richer and popular. Then when she says yes, it will happen and when she says no, it won’t just like what Ani does.

I agree with u on this.

To a larger extent it is about character.... Ani is the doer the decision maker saviour .... People look forward to his feelings ....jhanak is just the prop ... In shows where FL is strong there ML will like be easily manipulated. If u notice FL is strong then ML is weak and ML is strong then FL is weak. There is another show in which audiences are looking forward for the FL to expose while no expectations from ML. One more thing these shows are catered to women. See if Ani says he loves arshi how people get affected .... Remember when Anuj was introduced opp anu ...the dream man ( considering majority audience were female) later on he was butchered. That also has important role in writing the screen play of the character.

totally connect with your take on the episode- and the reason for me is the precap seemed more powerful and impactful damakedhar than the actual episode itself. It took my expectations very high so it was a tad bit let down.

The idea is still keep the relationship under wraps from the evil people. Will tomorrow’s episode change it we don’t know.

Loving Chotton so much really, he was indeed the hero of today’s episode. He doesn’t mince words, very straightforward and clear in his heart and mind.

The people around Ani were lot more thoughtful than the evil family

Also Krushal looked very cool and handsome in that attire, he can surely try for a mythological show in the future after Jhanak ends 😜

Girls, watched the episode. I ffed all the family drama. Good Ani didn’t tell the family where he is going. Coming to the creamy part of the episode, Ani making shivling and doing the Pooja with modern shiv tandav stotaram was good. Chotton was surprised when Ani said Janak Bose and that gave him confidence to tell that they both are husband and wife. Ani telling rishtadar was kind of off for me too. If he would have said Janak Mukherjee and said relative, then it would have make sense. Him telling Janak Bose and telling relative didn’t allow to enjoy the scene completely. But looks like Ani was waiting for Choton to proclaim them husband and wife as he didn’t object the same and kind of accepted the same. Like someone said, they could have give made Ani to be silent in that place. Looks like Ani internal conflicts and guilt is not allowing him to completely embrace the relationship. Evil gang coming and disturbing the Pooja was so insensitive. I hope this is not going to be a stand alone event and will play a crucial part in the progression part of the story. Ani is kind of very emotional right now so we are not sure what is going to be his stand once Janak came back to sense. The important part of the today’s episode is the precap. Ani openly tells Janak can’t leave him and go. This clearly shows how Ani’s life is dependent on Janak. As per today’s episode, he has acknowledged the marriage before God which he has been denying for long time.

That brings us to an important aspect - even if Ani accepts the relationship, there are zero chances unfortunately that he is going to act on it as long as Jhanak keeps pushing him away. He thinks she hates him, so why will he even think to do something regarding the relationship he accepted before god.

He is going to try to tell himself that he was thinking rubbish and will push himself more towards Arshi!

Lot of chances. But for me instead of acknowledging the marraige, he has to understand his changed feelings for Janak and Arshi. But as you said in order to pursue further, he needs to get some positive sign from Janak, otherwise he is doomed. He will plan to be in a love less marraige with Arshi.

I actually want Ani to grapple with the fact that he loves Jhanak but she doesn’t return his feelings. If you know how much I have imagined that. Like it has been said many times, many people don’t care for a reveal as much as they do for a realization. Ani doesn’t even have to confess - he just has to realize and start trying to act different to her. The wedding should be the thing that solidified things for him. From when he meets the actor who appears good and decent to when the wedding happens, Ani should keep struggling with feelings of jealousy, sadness, panic, detection, and maybe some failure at attempts to sabotage things. Then he becomes certain about his state after the wedding. Jhanak should actually leave with the actor (of course, the wedding should be faked as Tejas doesn’t really care about it) and Ani thinks he has lost her forever and cries like crazy, only for him to get a call from Jhanak that she has been kidnapped. This can happen after he rescues her from Tejas and then reaches the breaking point with shristi and arshi because he realizes that they willingly arranged things with Tejas to pretend and take Jhanak away. He would be in this mood where it’s a mix of relief that Jhanak didn’t really marry someone else, realization he loves her, and new found courage to protect her. He takes a break from Arshi. Something like I think we need some time apart, I need to think, I can’t accept what just happened. Of course, everyone is convinced it’s due to Jhanak, and Jhanak suspects too. She asks and he denies, yet he is acting more clingy and vocal about supporting her. Jhanak can start liking him and Ani suspects same, then tries to confess and she lies that she doesn’t care because of stigma and fear and social status and maybe even arshi and shristi have said something to her….this would be more than 50 episodes and it will be fun to watch. Makers should stop dragging their feet about Ani’s feelings and just cement it with this wedding. I hope they finally follow the logic.
