When Pakhi physically abused Adhik, she was supposed to have mental health issue which was sorted out by laying down on the road and staring into outer space with her Maa... This show makers trivializes mental health care so much just for the sake of drama. Choti had panic attacks due to fear of abandonment and she was labeled as a spoilt attention seeking child.

For them psychiatrist is a person or rather a washing machine who washes away your accumulated personality traits which are not yours and brings out your real self. So when Vanraj went to therapy because he had his own DDP and he was behaving as a docile, zindagi se haara hua man. When he came back from therapy he did two things - He threw Anupamaa out of their lives and said “Vanraj Shah is back” and this time he was actually back unlike the time when he said with a Mara hua man when Maa motivated him to say so. His real self blossomed after the therapy. It’s not therapy’s mistake that this was his real self.

When Tosu went to therapy after cheating on Kinjal and kidnapping Pari, risking her life, he came back as a scammer and he continues to be one after the therapy.

Pakhi might have needed therapy after she got abused by Adhik, but the two times her mental health was mentioned was when she abused him or the next time it was spoken about her healing was when she character assassinated Dimpy. That’s when Kavya and Dimpy say that she has a lot of anger in her and she needs healing.


In the name of mental health they literally villainise people if they are not Anupamaa like Maaya or now Adhya… If she is Anupama her anxiety, her trauma is used to seek sympathy from the viewers, but at the same time people who are responsible for it continues to be Bhagwan, part of her parivaar. Forget leaving them she is not even supposed to create a distance with them. She should get an eternal sympathy but never the cure. Because in their minds if she gets a cure, she looses sympathy and if she looses sympathy, they can’t write anything for her.

Anuj should ideally not just need therapy and psychiatrist, somebody should really open his brain and look into where exactly things have gone wrong. The decisions that he is taking now, he has lost every right to even speak, forget speaking anything logical. His viewpoints have lost all individuality at this point. Shahs aur Anupamaa ke saamne mandarana is wrong, Tosu ko naukri Dena is wrong, usko jail se bahar nikalna is wrong, Adhya se expect karna that she has to control herself and be respectful in a situation where she is uncomfortable and still not react is wrong, they way he had a conversation with Adhya was also so wrong. 😑 She needs to be talked out but certainly not in this imposing way.

Itna time drama ko dedicate karte can’t they show the patient talking to their therapist or with whomsoever they are taking whateever treatment from. How much unwiring of their minds can be done if the person just talks. Moreover it will give better insight into the head of the character than just saying that went to a therapist which no one knows but everyone gets to see their vocal cords working at maximum efficiency.
