This is because Angad wants to take Diljeet's position in the child's life rather than Sahiba's. He might be willing to overlook the sins she committed if the fetus survived. However, his heir doesn't bear his last name, addresses another man as dad. His offspring is a Panesar, it will be an enormous blow to his ego.

This Akeer ke Papa had to sing and waste time to inform Akeer that he was there. What did he think, it was Indian Idol ka manch? All he had to do was call him AKEEEEEEEEER... 😂... Why, the child wouldn't recognize his own name, this 5 year old child with an 8year olds brain would not have processed his own name.. Kuch bhi! And if it were my parents, they would have announced " Athz, where are you ullu ki patti? " and when I run back to them, they would have whacked me left and right, so that I never repeat the stunt again... Here Akeer ke papa started singing for him and both of them are having their own duet...

1st March se tmd ka Jo satyanash hua hai ,itna toh ghum track jab laa rhe the tab bhi nhi hua tha ....last 28 episodes mein tmd pehchan hi nhi aa rha hai ...1yr se koi aur show dekh rhe the ab ka 1 month se kuch aur hi dikha rhe hain ...1st two weeks seerat bani supervillain ,next two weeks nonsense leap n useless characters

Well, in another line of thought... it can be also said that Diljeet has taken Angad's position in kid's life due to a MU that Sahiba had that he rejected the kid. Once she comes to know that he didn't know about the kid all this while and was grieving for it, then what will Sahiba say? She might feel indebted to Diljeet for all the help he did but she will not be able to keep Angad away from the kid once he comes to know.... She won't be able to stand up or put forth any arguements once it bcomes clear that Angad didn't reject the kid..(Hell, they have not even given a proper backstory on why Sahiba decided to go with this person and coparent with him, why she didn't keep any contact with her parents..if someone argues that she deliberately hid the kid from the father, can she really refute it? )...in fact, it is Angad who is going to be furious at Sahiba for keeping his kid away from him and daring to allow another man to be the kid's father.... He will stop at no extent to get the custody of the kid and Sahiba will be crying in the corner n from what i have seen Diljeet may resort to violence to keep the kid...He wants Sahiba n kid to stay with him no matter what...Sahiba & kid will be caught in the middle of this war...

We are also making assumptions that the kid won't bond with Angad and will hate him... but we don't know that... the kid may miss Diljeet but may also naturally bond with Angad..
