Exactly. He can be soft and respectful but still set boundaries with Ruhi. That will be growth. He cannot let Ruhi and her sob story keep on affecting him to let her into his personal matters. Deal shaadi with Abhira, Abhira taking pangas or meddling, his family vs Abhira are his matters with Ruhi being a 3rd party. let him get mad , be upset etc but ALONE or vent to someone other than Ruhi! Bass. Ruhi should stay out. He can super politely tell her- I don't want to talk, I just want to be left alone please. Or just lock the door of his room and vent, complain etc in silence if he has a tiff with Abhira. Simple. He needs to make it clear that he does not need her as his bff/confidante. by this time the writers knew the actor will be changed soon .. so they were building plots where Armaan will start defending Abhira and even call of Ruhi

But one important point .. Armaan n Abhira should have spoken up now that no offscreen reason is there .. talking of badtamezi .. isn’t Abhira the jethani and Ruhi devrani .. how is she calling her off publicly infront of others ..

there are many families where a jethani is younger than Devrani but they still maintain the level of respect .

Today also dadi clubbed Vidya n Abhira together as badi bahuye and clubbed manisha n ruhi as chhoti bahuye .. so she knows the demarcation.. now Vidya should implement it .. that you Ruhi are staying in the house as Rohit’s wife not armaan’s friend.. so when Rohit called Armaan bhaiya and Abhira bhabhi why are you calling them by names and fighting with them .. when they copy Ghum .. they forgot that Pakhi was Samrat’s wife ( who was not dead but Missing in War ) who was the elder cousin of virat .. so she got off by calling virat and passing if as his old friend.. but over here it is not the same case .. plus Armaan is not a cousin literally Rohit’s older brother

What happened to the writers of this show suddenly? Sadma lag gaye kya. All valid points, everything people have been complaining about for months. They included all that in this one scene. This is the Armaan everyone wanted.. a little vulnerable, yet firm and straightforward. Chalo as farewell Sheh also did a good job. He has managed to bring in all the right expressions. Bhabhi se toh woh bhi nahi hoti. She's still stuck at one single expression.
