In pak dramas, murders, violence are perfectly fine but dare a man and woman show any sort of affection towards each other

im glad she’s shown to be merciless.. after everything that’s happened to her what do they expect her to be? The show got bad because they refused to make a tight thriller .. Zamda being ruthless has nothing to do with it .. it should have been a 16 episode max thriller but instead the makers stretched the show..

Also tried to whitewash a murderer because certain section of the audience found the guy dreamy and added unnecessary unconvincing “love story” to appease them..

PTV makers cant make decent thriller because they try to add all these other side plots..

The main lead had her family murdered in front of her, got kidnapped by them, and is forced to marry one of the perpetrators and was getting raped on a regular basis … and you expect her to be rational and humane.. I wanted her to burn the house down with everyone in it ..

If a drama failed to make the audience sympathize with the main character who went through inhumane amount of torture and injustice then the makers failed miserably.

I know what you mean. They made Barlas too sympathetic dammit 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 He was the best written character I think. He had a proper arc and his love story did redeem him to an extent. Which is why the audience favored him. He had some great moments

Also that boy was ready to pay for his sins, ready to die. And the wronged family instead forgave him. Ab woh kya karay? Suicide? 😂

Tv is supposed to be for masses too. Audience is in to thriller, suspense, Acton and crime genre too. That's why khaie got hit.

People say khaie happens in real life but in such villages everyone is connected to each other so if people go around killing families for revenge then the entire town will be wiped out

That’s exactly what happened. They shifted the focus and the protagonist suffered. It’s not good story telling if you have to remind yourself why Zamda is right.

Instead they gave all the powerful and good moments to the bad guys , made them more layered and sympathetic. Forget Barlas. Look at Badshah. Look at Bakhtawar and Bareera. Apana.

The only ones the audience truly hates is Duraab and Channar but even then they’re layered and fascinating villains. Which can’t be said for Zamda. Her perspective was completely lost halfway through the drama and she was never able to regain that focus. Didn’t help that Durre was playing her either. Look at the last episode. Her cathartic moment was so bad and instead Khalid Butt - who plays the bloody villain and is freakin paralyzed - stole the scene from her

so yeah. Audience is not to be blamed. It’s the execution issue and the writing
