Also another movie I can think of would be "Raavanan"...by Mani Ratnam...Tamil version Veera was played by Vikram & police inspector husband was played by Prithviraj...

Simultaneously a hindi version was being shot where Abhishek Bachchan was playing Veera and Vikram was the police inspector husband...smiley36

That was atleast in 2010....I'm suprised by tue fact that they shot many bilingual films back in 1950's with 2 different supporting casts

That phase is called Golden era for a reason...

For them filmmaking was passion & not a mere profession....they were ready to give their all for a good piece of art & prepared to lose money...smiley27
