Despite been more gorgeous, more talented and more intelligent than her sister she literally got nothing in life.

No God father, no over praises by the industry, no awards, no recognition and not even any family life or kids 😥... What she got is just her character assasination in worst ways possible and mud slinging... she is living an aloof life in her farm house for last many years, mostly.

Such hai, some people like Alia are born lucky.

A few things worked against Pooja, the big one being that she trusted her father and uncle with her career. She’s done some amazing films but she’s also done some really bad movies which put her behind and she wasn’t able to catch up. This was probably the reason Soni took Alia directly to Karan Johar.

Pooja was also a very open and honest. In an era when actresses were giving statements like “my virginity is my gift to my husband” Pooja would declare that she’s not a virgin and her dad has said to do what she wants only don’t get pregnant. She was very open about dating Bobby Deol and then Sohail Khan, and a few lesser known names in between.

She might have enjoyed acting, and later producing, but she wasn’t crazy about fame and becoming a superstar and all that. One could say she lacked ambition. On top of that she was riddled with controversy. First her affair with Aamir Khan which she allegedly admitted to in an interview in an indirect way. Then rumors of an affair with a married Aditya Pancholi. She’s a recovering alcoholic now so somewhere in the middle of all this she developed a drinking problem.

Maybe she was born in the wrong time wrong place, and dare I say wrong parent? Soni took Alia to KJo whereas Pooja’s mother shuns Bollywood and media. No judgment but she didn’t have that ambitious pushy parent in her life that Alia did. The two sisters also grew up with two different Maheshes. Alia with a sober one who doesn’t even smoke. Pooja with the alcoholic one who would forget to come home. She’s talked about how on a regular basis he would be out till hours drinking and then his friends would bring him to the door, ring the door bell and just leave him there drunk and often passed out.

The one with the hotter husband - is the winner.

Ironic that everyone around Alia is an addict ( her husband, dad and step-sis all have an alcohold addiction) except her.
