You are objectively right. I still hate how he expects her to fight when they heap abuse on her every day. He already knows her stance on things as they had a convo the night before. So, my question is why is he expecting her to fight back knowing her thoughts??

A part of his self-righteousness and ego is also mixed in for me. He doesn't want to realize his love for Jhanak because that would mean he has to go back on his word with Arshi and that can hold disastrous consequences. Granted, he surely has the gall to stand up against everyone like he did before. But he needs to be pushed to that again. My question is how much longer does he need?
