Anupama's problems, issues, grief are a consequence of her own conscious decisions and her stubbornness to NOT learn from her past. Even in ALL this, she had her mother and brother who graciously and generously took her in during her most vulnerable times despite her treating them as mere "options" and letting them be abused. Never ONCE standing up for them.

She GOT everything handed over to her on a platter without having to raise a finger.

Compare this to Barkha or Shruti (Maaya's case is very different and cannot be held in the same way).

Barkha, a final year college student, her 10 year old brother are overnight brought to streets by her own elder brother who in deceit, took away EVERYTHING after her parents. She married her college love and with the Sr.Kapadias permission to let Adhik stay with them, raised her brother as her own child.

During this time, love faded under responsibilities and her husband had an affair and had a child. She refused divorce under the condition that he would NOT have anything to do with the other woman but would take care and support the child outside their house.

Barkha (assuming Anuj referred to her as Maa samaan Bhabhi in the introduction, was around 45-50) would have been able to "start afresh" with NO means of livelihood and when both if them were bankrupt? Who will give her a job at 50? Who will give her a loan without collateral? Not everyone has a friend like Anuj, infact Anuj himself did not give her a loan to start her business because Anupama rejected the proposal.

About Shruti, aren't we quick to judge her? Do we realise what state she is in? We already know about Shruti.

She specifically REFUSED marriage once she knew about Anupama and refused his Company when she returned to India.

Yes, she was dumb not to see the red flags in Anuj and that us on her. But NOT NOW. A girl who in this state over things that happened to her. Really?

Both these women have NONE to call as family. These were things that happened to them and were NOT their doing.

What has Anupama endured, compared to these women that our barometers are so skewed up?
