Today Armaan s rejection had valid reasons. But it is true that Armaan will have great difficulty in saying yes to any other prospect. He is scared for Ruhis future because of the disastrous ending of her and Rohits marriage. Basically he is trapped. We know Rohit will eventually return but if we have to assume that Rohit will not return then the only way to solve this problem is to publicly ( meaning making Ruhi aware) accepting Abhira as his permanent wife. Only then Ruhi will think about moving away from Armaan and might be able to settle down with someone else.
Look into the matter from his perspective. Then u will understand.
