So friend, when your foreign friends come to your pre-wedding party in, say, Gaya. Aviation Ministry would just spend thousands of crores of rupees to turn a domestic airport into an international one instead of telling YOU to move your venue or YOUR friends to take a connecting flight like literally everyone else does? Since YOU and Ambanis are EQUAL in the eyes of Indian law and have equal rights on Govt spending. GoI is obliged to work for your pre-wedding circus as much it is to Anant and Radhika.

Google jamnagar airport and why it shouldn't have been opened up at all.

Please don't say there were diplomatic relationships to be made at a random ameerzade ke bete ki pre-wedding circus because it's democratic country as of yet, you cannot have diplomatic relations with some country without it being notified to the Parliament, and it entering public record.

Hey Bhagwan, the lack of critical thinking is dooming.

The security plans and logistics will hopefully be made known to us ... soon smiley4

What happened to FrEe MArkET is the best system. Monopolies and free market are antithetical to each other btw.

Could everything have a price ... that they seem to be able to afford? smiley4

Why even compare the Met gala with a pre-wedding celebration at huge scale paid with the money of the groom's parents?

And who tells that Ambani didn't also pay for the changing of the airport status for the time being...anyways he is one of the highest tax-payers...

If you want to criticise Ambani, there are other things than these private celebrations, I think.

Ambanis are paying the salaries of govt employees who had to especially be posted to deal with Immigration, security, customs and aviation at Jamnagar airport? Which wasn't equipped to do so in the first place? Why would they? And even if we agree that Ambanis were the highest tax payers (no where proportional to their wealth btw), tax money is budgeted and passes through both houses of parliament. It is literally public property and your representatives account for it in public record.

And anyway, I wouldn't compare a private function to a public one a) if my taxes were not being wasted on it and b) if their PR wasn't presenting it as event that saves Indian cultures, arts, animals, enivorment yada yada.

Last year NACC gala or whatever was being promoted as the 'Indian Met Gala" without any of the intellectual honesty, goals, or transparency of the Met Gala.

Literally everything they do has to do with flexing their money and power.

Can you randomly pay and change status of an airport ? Also where IAF has strategic interests.

No, certainly not...you have to prepare it largely before with the respective authorities.

We don't know how exactly Ambani proceeded to get this limited extended status but they got it and nothing negative seems to have happened during that time.

Btw, do we know if this assertion we talk about is even true?

Back in the day, It was Anil Ambani who was totally star struck and awed by the film folks. He has a flashy flamboyant personality and would be covered in the press frequently and was the face of Reliance whilst Mukesh was somewhere in the background. Anil was very friendly with Amitabh.

Later the brothers quarreled and the business empire was split. Anil made the some business deals that made him lose money. He had to pay off huge debts and brother Mukesh came to his rescue, as per the wishes of the mother Kokilaben.

Meanwhile Mukesh became the face of Reliance and the rest is history. Nita and Mukesh now use the film stars and celebrities to add the glamour quotient at their parties as a result of which their stunning events are talked about. But they are very much traditional at heart.

What’s ironic is that the very film stars who were pally with Anil have now transferred their attention to Mukesh!
