He changed over a course of time. He really shitty to Khushi a number of times during the forced marriage even though he was madly in love with her. You see progression doesn't happen in a day.

I guess you want an ideal man for Abhira. Sorry to burst your bubble. That is not how ML has beem sketched. He has his flaws and confrontation is definitely not his strong point. He too would need time to take a stand for himself and not let people guilt trip him. The progression needs TIME. Only if you could accord him with the same benefit of doubt to Armaan you would see what a wonderful human he is.
