True. All the characters are just too good. Even though Rachel was most popular but honestly while watching the show I always felt her character was weakest & least funny. The rest of five were equally good imo.

I think Aniston’s beauty elevated the popularity but if writing and influencing the storyline is concerned then Rachel wasn’t the best one amongst 6. Her storyline was mostly about being with Ross or not being with Ross, while other characters had a full journey.

I think Joey and Phoebe were the funniest.

Rachel went from spoiled rich daddy's girl to hardworking independence single working mother (co-parents) .. so that's full journey.. yes Ross issues were part of it but she showed growth in her character..

Best character arc - Rachel from a spoilt brat to an independent career oriented single mom.

I think Rachel Green's criticism is valid. She was indeed a spoiled and entitled woman. Monica took her in, and the gang was pivotal in helping her navigate life and learn how to be an adult. They were incredibly patient with her spoiled behavior.

But I think the reason why Rachel is so beloved is her arc. She gave up a life of luxury and a cushy marriage to become a waitress. She worked her way up the corporate ladder just like ordinary women. She had an unexpected pregnancy and managed to balance her career and parenting (with help, of course.) Her arc inspires many women that they, too, can take risks and do the unconventional.
