I think they wanted to show that Abhira has accepted Ar's family as her own subconsciously. But doesn't want to acknowledge it.

Mujhe laga she got emotional when she thought Yuvi will harm Vidya ,he recently killed her mama so in that moment emotional ho ke bhol diya and sub consciously she might have accepted them all as her family too but doesn’t want to address them both as maa n papa as she didn’t accept Armaan as pathi.
