People's dreams change. I don't understand holding that talwar over people. I wanted to be popstar when I was young. I realised there are more talented and/or more well-connected people than me. As an adult, I wouldn't want to go through showbiz even if it were practical for me. Ab usi dream ko pakad kar loser jaisa toh nahi feel kar sakte na. Dancers notoriously have even less job security than cooks.

That said dkp deffo has an anti-woman issue where they eff up the writing so badly that many people end up siding with the godawful male characters than the wronged woman.

Pakhi was literally beaten by her husband but they have turned her into such a sexist stereotype that her husband is the good guy now. Similar thing will happen with Abhira too where a section of the audience will unjustly bash her to defend the male characters.

lol it's just a joke. Why are you taking it so seriously?

I might have communicated in a wrong way.

In india she was very happy not suffering like how she is in amrika. She need not change herself to become something else. Now she is again going back to her dream of becoming dancer.

Yes i do understand ppl dream and their dreams change. But was america is the only place to fulfill her dream? No

The show was promoted to show anu wanted to go to amrika to become dancer. They also had spin off to show ho she was robbed from opportunity to become dancer as vanraj made her pregnant. They also showed how she left her dream of becoming dancer and came back for her daughter.

After showing multiple times that her reason of going amrika is dance they never showed anything which is related to dance except after leap.

Even ppl who earn 2 lakh in corporate job quit their job and are installing tea stall or any small food stall as they have claimed that, it's more beneficial than corporate job.

In the end ppl should understand everyone has different life experiences whatever you see it as right may not look right for me and vice versa.

You know newyork labour laws but does maker know? Does other normal indian tv audience know?

No as we hardly care about other country law if we are not staying there. The comparison will be done based on what are the rules in the County where we are staying in. In india cooks may not have hours payment like newyork and indian audience including me will not bother to know about it before watching the show.

I have very bad experience with dkp fl. Dkp tends to make their fl do something nasty. I don't support ml too you can hardly see me in maa forum or here too i am majorly part of cc hardly visit edt unless i am bored.

In the end who supports whom it is based on their life experiences and how they analyze the situation. Every coin has two sides. You may feel one side is correct , the other ppl may feel otherside is correct. We can either agree, disagree or ignore than questioning their analysis skills.

She didn't become a middle-aged professional dancer in either India or America????? Shocked. I personally thought it is easiest to start earning professionally from dancing 30 years onwards when women lose bone density.

Yes, given that 1 USD is 82.89 INR now, I'd say the average joe knows that they would earn more in America than they do here since our economy is weak. NYC me minimum wage pe montly earning would be around 3.4 lakhs lol.To the 1300 per hour wage in NY, Delhi's monthy minimum wage for a skilled worker is 21,215.

Anupamaa was married to a rich dude. That was her only claim to her comfortable life here. The son who ran a dance academy on her behalf died. Dance academy's profits are based on whether general interest even lies in Kathak or hip hop or whatever. If I don't want to learn ballet, I simply won't waste my money in a ballet academy. Toh how not following her dream of becoming a dancer in her 50s is a downgrade is beyond me.

The only thing, like I said, financially going on for her was her marriage. By your logic, no one should divorce because comfortable life hai yahan. The most awful thing ITV makers do is gloss over or glorify not taking alimony that would actually ensure financial security of women who spend most their time doing free labour for their husbands.

Since they don't show ITV FLs ever getting alimony or property settlements in divorces, her working on her own, whether in India or America, ensures a better life for her than being dependent on the whims of a rich dude who had obsessive tendencies. Service jobs are not undignified. That is an you issue lol

I treat itv as comedy show than treating them as a show where ppl take moral lessons from.

I prefer joking around those characters than having this much serious discussion on them.

If you like anupama and her decisions i have no problem. I don't want to waste my time in discussing on that character which i hardly care 🙂 i am out. smiley1

Bruh you are the one making moral judgements on an itv show by saying someone is undignified for working under someone else. Practically, anyone with any regular source of income is better of than a musician or dancer lol.

I do not like Anupamaa. She abused her bahu lol. Just found your statements about her earning more here from dhokla instead of working there funny. Because just by exchange rates, that is not true.

I am out too.

My point was working in india vs working in foreign country.

Anupama can do whatever she wants even she can open her business in under water and she can run it.

Undignified life is not working under some one. It was a choice she made when she had better choices for herself.

If i have choice to become owner of a resort vs stay just as an employee I definitely will choose to become owner.

Exchange rates are just numbers. If you earn 1 lakh in india and if you earn 1 lakh INR in other country it is not same. As cost of living also comes into picture.

In the end everyone can have difference of opinion. You could have happily ignored it than arguing for the character which you do not like.

Have a great day!
