So what?
Poaching is the illegal hunting and capturing of animals, usually protected or endangered species.
The leather industry is a completely legal and large global industry. A lot of leather is produced from the byproduct of animals that have already been slaughtered for meat consumption. There are many indigenous leather producers across the world as well who make and sell leather products using legal and sustainable practices that have been in their community for centuries.*
There is absolutely no hypocrisy in being against poaching, an illegal activity, while also consuming legal animal products. Now, if someone claimed to be a vegan and then paraded leather - that would be a different story.
*This is not to say Alia is using sustainable leather. She is clearly using a mass commercial product.
