Yup we should - And today hands down he seems to be Surya out to avenge his sister's pain from the Chaudharys. Doesn't look like this is Agastya in disguise.

In the first part of the episode, I was quite sure he's Agastya & he has kept those pictures as memories & balance sheet, account details etc as he wants to keep a check on his family. But by the end, even I feel he's Surya, mostly bcoz of his conversation with malti. The conviction with which he said, he has come here for his BIL and not this family. Also, Malti trusts him more than anyone. So there's no way agastya will use surya's face for his mission & play with her emotions. Plus, imlie's dialogue at the end, yeh babu ka bhai hai, toh dil ke bure nahi ho sakte. I felt like, imlie-surya's love story has officially begun.

Dadi is always so quick to admonish others but she never questions her own actions. Honestly, it’s messed up to say but Surya got lucky by being away from the Chaudhary’s.

They all speak of Gattu and how much he meant to them but they never valued him or his feelings. He never felt accepted by them, he instead felt indebted to them. Alka continuously taunted him about his mother and her profession. She and Dadi brought up an innocent child to hate his own mother. He could never cry in front of them and he always had to prove himself to be worthy of their affection. They should’ve protected him from all that pain instead they let him suffer because of their own wounds.

He didn’t want to get married in the beginning of the show but Dadi forced his hand by making it a condition for him to inherit the business. Even though it was initially a contract marriage, Imlie brought joy in his life, she brought comfort, she brought love in his life. He started glowing with a different energy all together when he was around her. It put him through hell to see her be engaged to Vishwa but he never hesitated to keep her safe. The Chaudhary’s knew all of that, they knew how much Imlie and Agastya loved eachother and to what extent they can both go for one another.

After the Kairi reveal, sure it was a hard time emotionally for all of them. They should’ve taken time to process all the new information they got. Instead, Dadi went into panic mode and decided that she’d rather ruin Gattu’s life herself than give Imlie the chance. The same Imlie who became her Gattu’s reason to smile. She emotionally blackmailed him so bad that the poor idiot brought in Binni Tinni as his fake wife without doing a proper background check.

After his death, which was an accident, did they think to share their grief with the love of his life? No, they instead humiliated her and threw her out on the door. They gave respect to the girl he knew for a day but not the one he loved with his entire being. And now, shamelessly they’re going to apnao Surya and try to jamao their haq on him. I really hope someone rains hell on them for all they’ve put Imlie and Agastya through.

Given that they have officially declared that Surya and Agastya are twins then the creatives need to trend very carefully about showing romantic scenes between Surya and Agastya as it would be devar or jeth with bhabhi kind of scenes. I personally can not root for romantic scenes like that.

Doppelgangers romancing the other living person is also somewhat acceptable as there is no blood relation involved there. But here this guy is brother of Agastya and she is the love of his dead brother. So I don't know how the creatives are going to weave a love story here - I don't think the trp audience is going to like it.

Also how are the chaudhary's even going to accept Imlie again as their bahu and Surya's wife ?

@bold:- I feel this is the reason for the twin brother reveal so early. That everyone would be happy that they got Agastya's replacement and will be happy seeing Surya around them. Imlie will also give him the benefit of doubt now because he is after all her babu's brother. But then Surya is going to do something bad and that is why the promo dialogue - For a moment I was swayed but you only have Agastyaji's face but not his heart.

I didn't mind them not being super angry at Alka. She had her reasons to do what she did. As a wife who has been cheated on and as a mother looking out for her daughter's future and rights.

If this family can ignore Kunal ka cheating ways and call out Meera who did nothing wrong, Alka ka toh samaj bhi aata hai reasons.

The flirting with Imlie, the non urgency in finding the jeeja, the indirect ways of making Imlie strong and fight back, all point to Agastya. I'm utterly confused 😕

But if he's really Surya, how are they going to justify his scars & headaches?? I don't want childhood abuse kinda thing in the show. Agastya had a traumatizing childhood, don't want the same for Surya.

Totally agree. I don't know but I feel Dadi is one who worked with the concept of replacement. Kunal maar gaya so replace Kunal with Agastya. And she had the whole haq on Agastya and she did not even allow the kid to even have fond memories of his mother. Agastya had to literally give her an explanation of why he is having his mother's photo with him. I hate that kind of conditional love - If you love me then you have do what I say.

Now Agastya is dead so they are all going to happily move on with Surya as Agastya ka replacement. Never did Dadi ever think why did Agastya go with Imlie on the day he died ? Did she not know how much Agastya loved Imlie ? Nope she is like the blind Dhritarashtra who just wants to see what she wants to see. Dadi decided that Imlie will bring bad luck to Gattu so she did the act of falling down to emotionally manipulate him. And never did she even think back about her actions. Instead she is busy trying to blame Imlie for all the misery the family faced when everything could have been avoided if only Dadi gave some time for the family to heal and allowed Imlie and Agastya to be married.

Waise seeing Surya emotional at the end made me feel he led a very difficult life as well. His foster father died when he was young so his Amma must have surely kept on taunting him (specially given the amount of money he left Surya). Both of them had difficult childhoods. Away from their mother. I'm sure Surya hated his parents too as he was abandoned. I don't know man the situation is way too messed up. This guy is as indebted to this family.

Did anyone find Surya's reaction to the truth so so?

I hate Dadi ka character (pehle she was shown to be so sensible but trp ki bhet chadh gayi). Her hatred for Meera, Kairi, now Alka and most of all Imlie and her compassion for Kunal and everyone else, and not for Agastya annoys me.

I'm having my doubts that this isn't Agastya and hence the flirting doesn't seem right to me. I'm all up for devar and widow bhabhi love story (one of my most fav shows had this theme) but the same face is an issue to me. I don't understand the need for constant flashbacks (even if they talk about Agastya) aren't helping.

@bold:- Join the club. Me too am utterly confused on what they want to show. Today deffo looks like this is Surya and not Agastya in disguise. Unless Surya and Agastya have already met before and Surya has come on Agastya's wishes to see how his family is doing.
