The drama seems like it will continue until the show's end. Mrunal was pregnant for real, so now I think she and Vaibhav will come up with a plan to kill/seriously hurt Vandu, and get caught, and then will turn on each other and maybe even spill the beans about how Vandu's medical report was fake. I think this is highly likely cause everyone is once again rehashing how Vandu can't become a mom, and the show doesn't have time to explore any type of IVF track.
As for Kuldeep, I think the plan is to pretend to make nice with Vijay and then tell Kunal that father and daughter are responsible for their family's ruin - he will make it look like Vijay is the one who had an affair with Vaani and Vanada is trying to make sure Vaani never gets better. I don't think Kunal will believe it and will say something like let's wait for Vaani's memory to come back. Kuldeep will try and kill Vaani to make sure her memories never come back, and he will caught red-handed and will go to jail.
Regarding this college friend track - I am guessing that this was the business meeting that they were going to (after the BTS where the aarti happened). There may be some party with his college friends, and I think at some point Vandu will be asked to sing, and the friend in the BTS will try and sign her for the deal - we may even get some cute KuVan jealousy scenes, so her career track will come to the forefront again.
Looks like Vandu is returning home and Kunal will go to party.
