If Colors really wants to save the show, they should replace Adnan, make Karuwaki a background character, focus more on tussle for the throne. There are so many plots, Ashok going to Ujjain, there settling with Devi, in between crushing rebellion at Taxila, palace conspiracies. So much plot is there to explore but they are wasting their time, energy on useless stuff as they haven't spent money that they are using Bollywood songs in this show. Paisa kha gaye colors ka shayad 😂🤣 just kidding but seriously, the show needs to revamp or shut down asap, may is too far. It should end next month. Last historicals like Prithvi Vallabh, Vidrohi and Kashibai were flops because they tempered with real history. Chakravartin Ashok Samrat was hit because people liked watching Siddharth as Ashok, otherwise that show was also fictional

There was a serial with the name dastan e mohbbat Salim anarkali starting shaheer shiek and sonarika bhadoria but ended up being a massive flop from set design to acting everything was soo soo good there serial wrapped up in 79 episodes

Because again it was historically incorrect and the show wasn't entertaining, a historical can only be hit when audiences believe it actually happened. Look at Chandragupta Maurya of Imagine TV, it still has a massive fanbase today, Jodha Akbar was also liked because it connected with audiences. Pracchand Ashok failed in everything from casting to story to execution

I didn't watch the show. Sharbat maybe or kheer or if you take a leap into Katha Ankahee you'll find Chole Bhature, ice cream, protein bars, salads, pizza, chocolate, laddoo, cakes, pastas, olive salads, whiskey on the rocks, champagne, water, kada prashaad, cream donuts, pad thai, boiled veggies, sandwiches, etc... (effect of watching the show like 4 times already😅😅).

What the hell is Adnan even doing in this show, since no one is liking him here apparently... 😭

The sole fact that it isn't based on reality makes it repulsive to watch. Had it been historically correct with a bit of an overemphasis on Karuwaki and Ashok's love story, it might even work with the non-chemistry & bad acting of Mallika and Adnan.

They could have shown Devi coming to Ashok's mahel creating all that ruckus and Bindusara giving them a place to live in Ujjain. But apparently the Taxilla war didn't even happen here? 🤕

Mallika could have been portrayed as being only 10yrs old and Devi-Ashok as 17-20 at least. That would have been more accurate, somehow. Devi would be present to the wedding as a kid but hide or feared Ashok already and someone telling her stories of love and prerna for her to fear less, thus explaining her exponential amount of bhashans right now. Then 8yrs later, after like some episodes of the power struggles, Devi and Ashok's relationship being only out of duty and respect minus love as they want Ashok to fall for Karuwaki, they could have introduced Mallika like after 1-2 weeks of those episodes. Ashoka being someone hungry for power, more kingdoms and blood because he wants to prove himself to his deceased father or the ones accusing him of slayying his brothers. On his way to Kaling, maybe be meets Karuwaki and falls for her and (fictional) Devi remembers Karuwaki as being the small girl who used to come along with the Kalinga King to buy things or form alliances to Vidisha. What's Devi doing there? Just meeting her husband on the way to wherever he travels as now he lives apart from her due to him being a King. Then whatever romance, jealousy and fiction could have been developed from then on. Also, Devi could have been defeated from trying to gain Ashoka's love and the jealousy would have developed over time seeing him showering the love she so pined to Karuwaki, the princess who just entered his life. Also, not ignoring the love-hate relationship, they could have come to Kalinga for an alliance but got rejected hence the Karu's brother forbids her to ever meet him. Also Ashok supposedly impregnating Uma could have been played out differently and could have been like a nail to the coffin and Karu's hatred towards Ashoka made more sense. The child still being for Karu's brother.

All the characters mentioned like Radhagupta, Tushaspa, Sushim's wife, etc.... Could also have been added and presented more beautifully. Also, the torture house of Ashok would have been portrayed and used as a time lapse thing, with the number of victims decreasing with every passing day with Karuwaki.

Here's my "What if" analysis of what could have been the potential with the same cast, 1-5% improvement in acting from the cast and a more historically accurate time-line.
