I am back with one more theory:-

Technically, if we see they have shot 2 entry scenes for a character.. The first one before imlie-agastya's accident & the second one after a month to it. There's surely a reason behind it. And that is because they both are different person altogether. The first one is for the OG Surya & the 2nd one is for Agastya who's presumed to be "Surya".

To think logically, they could've directly shown us the naacho naacho sequence for his entry. Why bring him into existence, just a day before the tragedy.. just to confuse the audience & time aane pe, throw him under the bus to save Agastya.

I am absolutely loving these scenarios right now, the AT is a different vibe today. Looks like everyone has a new found zeal today and the consensus is that this is Agastya 'Surya'

Hopefully in the next few weeks we get inklings into what happened in the last month.

Honestly think it will be really mean if it Agastya just pretending to be Surya, that's cruel to Imlie to fake it the whole time. Especially if he is interacting with her and watching her go through everything...

If it is Agastya who had memory loss then how can he find a fake family and get a job as a policeman so quickly but also he wouldn't be so comfortable with the sister and in the job so easily

More than Agastya pretending to be Surya, him suffering through a memory loss, seems more plausible as per the plot. The fact that, they've introduced one month leap, helps it too. What if the other car that almost hit Agastya imlie was Surya's(that explains August's shocked reaction as well) & he too possibly fell down the cliff. But Agastya survived & he didn't. Owing to severe head injuries, he had a memory loss & when he woke up he was at Surya's house. The fam members might hv shown him pics & he believed he's their Surya indeed. Also, 1 month mein, insaan seekh jaata hai bhasha.. But can't say much about the change in skin complexion tbh. Sun tan hogaya hoga shayad. He was leading a luxurious life as Agastya, kahan yeh dhoop mein police ki duty suit huyi hogi

At the end of the track, all they’d have to do is show us a flashback of Surya’s family finding Agastya after the Chaudhary’s left, Thinking that he’s Surya, they took him home and his mind started filling the blanks after spending time with them.

I want that to be true so bad, it would make sense for the montage as well since it’s just Agastya in a different avatar. And the memory loss would explain him not recognizing Imlie.

They could slowly drop hints through the upcoming month, about him having some of Agastya’s habit, things that the real Surya wouldn’t do.

It would make even more sense that the first shot of Surya made him look more crooked since he framed a murder scene as self defence. Whereas this Surya is more into taking justice in his own hands and dancing lol.

How did Agastya learn Telugu in such short span of time? Kuch log 2.5 yrs se seekhne ki koshish kar rahe hai from their bestie but only know konchum konchum 🐶

I’ll try and be optimistic. Agastya probably got his kurta at one of the stalls near the mandir since he was wearing a hoodie before that. This is super far fetched, but Surya also could’ve gotten his kurta somewhere.

He was on his way to Purvaya that day and Agastya was shocked seeing the other driver, could be because he saw someone who looked like him. As for the watch, maybe Surya’s mum found Agastya and Surya first and switched the watch to be on on her dead son’s Surya’s wrist and took the still alive but injured Agastya with her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really wanna believe Agastya is alive since we’re going to get more scenes between Surya and Imlie.

Also although they wouldn’t do this anytime soon, they could show us Imlie crying, she honestly has so many reasons at this point. And Surya could look at her from a far and feel weird that her tears bother him. We could see him question himself on why it affects him but brush it off very quickly.

He could also mock her on why she’d always crying and in a way by arguing with her, he’d stop her from crying and instead force her to have her fighting spirit.

The family knowing from the beginning that he’s not Agastya would also make any interaction of Imlie with him a new ammunition for Alka’s taunts. She could bring back her prophecy of Imlie never being only one man’s. Binni would definitely try and get her claws in Surya since he’s the new owner of the house.

How much you wanna bet the Chaudhary’s would project that on to Imlie? They’d say she already got their Gattu killed and that now she’s after Surya because of his money. They’d probably even justify Binni’s actions by saying she just misses her late husband so she’s confused seeing his visage on Surya.

I’m glad everybody is going to be at Chaudhary mansion again, sucks that Imlie looks to be in a maid avatar, very Imlie 1 of her, even Imlie 2 was a maid for the villain briefly. But at least Binni won’t occupy Agastya’s room since Surya as the new owner will want the prettiest room. Him being at Chaudhary mansion also creates room for him to slowly recognize his environment and his life as Agastya.

This exact same scene happened in the car sequence yesterday. She looked at him with what one would call questioning eyes/ sadness/ killed hopes/ despair. That look was something else. Sadly Surya or Agastya whoever he was, couldn't read into it. Her eyes also had tears pooled up. It was difficult to watch that scene.

Like she said later to Radha Krishna, they took him away but now by bringing Surya before her, it’s like a constant reminder he's gone and who she is seeing isn’t her babu.

I am pretty certain he is too. There are two possibilities, Surya died that day and the cops found Agastya alive and Surya dead. Switched the clothes to find out who tried to kill him (ref movie Deewane). Another possibility is both survived and this one is Surya and Agastya is recovering somewhere.

I feel the chance of the first one is higher as they will not show Surya get close to Imlie unless it was her babu.
