There should be a limit in demeaning the FL, what was the need to make Amruta wear the money garland and in this whole scene, she is still wearing it. Already her job/education has been demeaned, so what was the need for this. Couldn't it have been enough for Virat to throw some notes at her in anger.
Guess some crew members while writing & shooting that nasty scene were simply assuming that 'its a garland' so viewers will also relate & treat it as varmala from destiny, so as to ship Virat with Amruta more as if a couple, by ignoring the public humiliation part.
(we should be thankful for small mercies as editors / sound recorders didn't include religious mangalam kind of chants as bgm for that cash garland scene in episode)
Possible. The dialogue from Bhavani just before his entry was again destiny related.
It is also possible that they did not consider the act to be as insulting as it actually is (or some of us feel it is). There was this scene where there was a money 'mala' he eventually gifted to one of his housekeepers. That ig was meant for some one else - either Nimrit/Rajiv or someone else - possibly a good gesture, which for them, will be just 'not good' (probably insulting but not disgusting) gesture here?
Possibly some cultural differences too. I've seen some traditional percussion artists from Kerala being garlanded with money while performing in Mumbai. For me it felt like insulting them (or at least a 'cheap' gesture) but guess the artists and others were fine with it - saw it being repeated at a later time too.
I think Punjabi wear money garland for their wedding saw it at many Punjabi wedding specially Delhi guys so for Rajiv they must have made as a custom but here throwing it on Amruta is cheap and disgusting.

Throwing notes would have not served their purpose they had to show it as varmala that guy could not put but Virat directly thrown around her neck means Virat will be her groom not that guy.

Even in the north, the groom in some cultures is given a money garland, to welcome him. This is considered as a sign of good luck or prosperity. In our street, during covid (especially during 1st lockdown), all the sanitation workers who came and sanitized the street were garlanded with 10 Rupee note garland for their bravery, and dedication to work. It isn't always demeaning though here, coolie’s intention was to demean Amruta for giving money to upload the slap video and slander his reputation.

When the 'destined' groom is so very disgusting.
Need a new ML.
Another thing in yesterday episode caught attention.
When that prospect groom Shashank was genuinely telling Amruta that his sister went thru divorce and is still in pain to raise a child from broken family, guess script was for Amruta to remember her own mother's pain & their broken family as FB scenes while reciprocating to him.
But it seemed editors or creatives while cutting final episode forced Virat's dialogues about his pain of divorce that Amruta was remembering as FBs, not her own mothers..
