I've not watched Sadqay Tumhare, just Pyare Afzal & MPTH. His shows have underlying misogyny but overall he writes well.

Female writers of Pak industry are definitely better than him. I've grown up reading their novels. I prefer Farhat Ishtiyaq & Umera Ahmad.

Wahaj was such a lacklustre performance in mein... But i can't seem to blame him for it because i don't know how he could have made it better

There wasn't one scene, one dialogue, one minute where zaid was written as the main hero. Even saad who reallllllly lacked any self respect had one thing going for him - his love for maheer. You could give him 100 gaaliyan but had to admit that the guy loved maheer.

But zaid?? Is there anything or anyone he loves? I don't think so. No one can even make out if he loves ayra or is it just guilt. What is zaids one defining trait?? His love/ambition /insecurity???? Anything???... Absolutely nothing. We know that he is under his father's thumb but do they ever explore it? Does he have one scene where they show him suffocating bec of his father? No.

Positive or negative, he has no personality. He is just bland. Like the wallpaper in the background. So i don't blame wahaj for it bec he literally had nothing to work with.

The styling was absolute shitt. The only thing i can fault wahaj with was looking tired. He should not have signed the show bec he was so visibly haggard.

I couldn't get through ishq murshid this week... It has become so so pointless.. Not that it had any point anyways... But now they are just milking the fazal baksh angle... It was cute for 10 episodes... Not 20... Its like they have the actors show up on the set and do whatever they want..

It has become the most randomest show I have seen ever with no story and people still liking and praising it to sky high..like what 😳

Basically she was trying to say this only. Zaid is a bland character just like typical males we come across on daily basis who are trying to balance different relationships which is practically not possible for them.

She even went to say that just like Taimur was his mother's hero Zaid had such relationship with his father which is not true. Although she took some blame on herself & director but she at the same time said that they would forget some details everytime & this was not the first time. She was indirectly hinting that Wahaj wasn't able to uplift Zaid.

I agree with you about Wahaj looking tired. See even MJ is not a consistent character but Ayeza's styling & her screen presence uplifted the character.
