It wasn't clear who she was blaming. Whether the script could have had shown Zaid's POV more as that was the main viewer criticism, We never got to see or hear Zaid's POV. Or was she blaming the director for not filming scenes written for Zaid (like how the whole psychologist track for MJ was cut down). or was it the actor she was pointing to for not bringing it to screen? Can anyone clarify.

should’nt this whole styling thing be the directors job? Wahaj isn’t a drama maker to know what each character should look like. His an actor , if he fails at that then that’s his fault but I don’t understand why people are blaming him for the styling . I’m sure he isn’t the one who came up with the murtasim shawl thing either . That’s the productions job to style the character to their liking

I had watched Siraj's iv. He had told shawl scenes were there in the script. The writer had written how when Murstasim walks his shawl flies and all those..

But yes, Wahaj carried it so nicely that it looked damn good. I know there were many feudal lord characters with shawls before. But Wahaj's was 🥰

I agree with you though, styling should be by the team and how the actor carries it or executes is up to the actor now. That will be hit or a miss.. But actor should not really be blamed for bad styling

She was taking it on herself & the production both that they might not have been able to deliver it with Zaid's character. When she talked about Fitoor she said even there Wahaj played a nakaam aashiq. She was trying not to blame Wahaj, it came out subconsciously.

In some shows when a female lead is seen within 5m radius of an unrelated man, the whole neighbourhood makes a big deal sl*t shaming her and the dad/mum scream at the top of the lungs talking about their so called pizza (izzat lol autocorrect ) .. and episodes are dedicated with unlimited supply of tears..

however in Ishq Murshid a random dude is living in a middle class house with two unmarried young girls and they are always hanging out with each other spending time in the bedrooms etc.. in the same household .. moholla doesn’t care.. parents don’t cry about their izzat (finally autocorrect didn’t change it to pizza) ..

Is this a progressive neighbourhood?
