Problem is that he took the writers script and didn’t change it enough to justify the endgame couple. It’s not an earned ending. He needed to do so much more but his focus has just been on the shock elements and sensationalism in the story 🤦🏻‍♀️

Maybe he never wanted to try but just did the bare minimum and expected us to just go with it. Which I guess we are 😂😂

I think he never made this a love story to begin with. Just a thriller, that’s all. And that’s the vibe we get. He just sprinkled some crumbs here and there for zaid/ayra and zaid/mj - and just went with one of the couples at the end instead of a morbid end where they’re all alone - from Zanjabeels interview that’s the sense I got that they were all supposed to end up alone … but maybe Badar thought it won’t sit right with ptv so some hope should be there

Nadia Khan in kya drama hai has complained about this issue specifically regarding Badar that he’s very lazy about changing and tweaking scripts. And directors need to do that to make the story and arcs flow. So he probably didn’t change enough which is obvious - just bare minimum. He was probably counting on the turkey episode that’s it 🤷‍♀️ which is why it seems so out of place with the rest of what happened lately. And even in the turkey episode he went with the dumb editing in of the ost scenes to create impact lol 🤦🏻‍♀️ so not needed

Badar obviously wasted their potential if he wanted this to end up as a love story. I agree that it wasn’t supposed to be the main focus. That being said, the Turkey scenes didn’t feel that out of place to me. I felt them heading in that direction.

No no I meant the difference between their growth in Turkey versus their dynamic when they got BACK. It shifted 180 degrees back to mistrust, suspicion from Zaid and deceit and selfishness from MJ. I root for the MJ I saw in Turkey - not the version we saw when she got back. She completely disappointed me

The only thing I’m unsure about is if Zaid/Mj will leave that house or not. Zaid still living with his dad is not a good look at the end of this
