Sri was really unlucky because there was no Filmfare held in 1987 and 1988, otherwise she would have won back-to-back for Nagina (1986) and Mr. India (1987) respectively. She was at the top of her game at that time.

And hence, by 1992 itself she would have had 4 Best Actress Filmfares......way before Madhuri & Kajol achieved that feat.

She did get an honorary Filmfare for both Nagina and Mr. India, to make up for the fact that there was no Filmfare those years. But many people noted that even then, they were so cheap that instead of giving her two individual awards they only gave her one for both films.

Even a super hamming non actor SRK got many filmfare awards (ofcourse by unfair means) as an "actor", so it does not matter.

In Dilip Ji's era these awards were genuine and authentic and hold high prestige if someone has those.

People like SRK and later Kjo single handedly ruined it's credibility, maybe forever.

ps Alia is India's Meryl Streep, so iskay saamnay Dilip Ji is nothing 😂

Just 8 awards are nothing for her, she can have 800 awards
