Zanjabeel was definitely inspired from CW shows when she wrote Mein. My biggest problem with this trope is that around the mid mark, Rayaan should have been shown drinking, taking drugs, cheating and stuff. Then the "he hit me" part today would not be so surprising.

Its like she needed something for the finale toh bas heroine ke bhai ko villain bana do. No build up, nothing. Isse better writing was Chuck Bass and Damon Salvatore...we saw their villain side at least.

Isme toh Rayaan went from a playboy flirt to straight up criminal overnight.

Also see Happy ending is different for diff people. Because some are in team Zaid-Mub & some in Zaid-Ayra. I know people are team 'All going separate ways' but that's not considered Happy ending

What is CW shows? I agree. Also, she is very toxic and regressive writer. Despite whatever guys do weather torture or insult the girl he usually ends up with the girl. I won't be surprised if she makes MJ and Zaid endgame.

Also why Kashmala is taunting her father when she herself agreed to Marry Ryaan in the first place lol.

CW is an American TV channel. They aired shows like Gossip Girl, Dynasty and The Vampire Diaries. If you've watched either, you'll be able to draw parallels with Mein. Its very evident thats where she got her inspiration from.

Yaar koi Sultan Durrani ko bhejo, Mubashira ko uthake le jaaye, dono ko pyaar na mila ek dusre ke saath happy ever after ho jayega

This entire fasaad ki jadh was Kashmala. If you look at it:

1. Zaid did not want to marry Mubashira

2. Mubashira did not want to marry Zaid (in the beginning)

3. Rayaan did not want to marry Kashmala.

But because Kashmala wanted to marry the love of her life who has always been so "nice" to her, so many lives are ruined
