Hrithik did Vikram Vedha in between, it flopped so I guess he will experiment irrespective of BO numbers.

And January, Kaho Na Pyaar hai was a January release, and is iconic, so I do not blame a certain month, maybe the promotions were much needed for Fighter. Deepika did not promote much and Hrithik anyways does not have a good PR

HR recently said that what matters is the box office and was hurt by Vikram Vehda flopping. Which to me was disappointing. Yes Vikram flopped but one flop shouldn't stop you experimenting. Movies will flop you can't get it always right. I always respect Ajay does different genres and experiments. Movies will not always work.

Yes, and I am sure he will not stop taking up a role like Vedha in future, and yes when he said BOx office matters most it is because distributors cannot afford losses. I felt he was very confident about VV that is why he was a bit disappointed but it is okay, he still did a Vedha after Guzaarish or a Mohenjodaro, so flops does not stop an actor to take up challenging roles. It is another thing that most directors offer him these larger than life action apectacles only. I am hoping he takes something edifferent after War 2

I honestly could see War 2 not doing as well as War 1. I think the audience are getting tired of spy movies so it wouldn't surprise me. Tiger is a hit but the first two were blockbusters. So wouldn't surprise that happens with War 2 too.

I know smiley6

It was disappointing that a spy universe movie underperformed that bad, and I said the same thing that maybe War 2 will suffer the fate too, let us see, hopefully they will redeem the universe.

Few years back Aamir was the bhagwan for the industry. SRK was getting ignored. Then Aamir films bombed and now SRK films are big hits , so industry people are back to SRK gushing.

WAR for example got a lot of love. In reality, Fighter is a much much superior film than War. The aerial action scenes have been done so well . It deserves appreciation. To be able to deliver such quality scenes at such less budget is praiseworthy. It is actually a game changer for Bollywood but because of underwhelming box office , it will not get appreciated sadly. Bina movie dekhe sasta top gun bolke nikal jana cool lagta hai kuch logon ko.

You have to be a weird Bollywood fan to dislike Hrithik . Man minds his business to the point of being hadd boring. Does so less movies. Stays away from the limelight otherwise. I mean kya agenda can you have against him? smiley36

Less budget? It is 250cr

A movie is a game changer when it does sth which other movies could not do, here clearly there are 3 other movies in the same year which did more numbers than it, so yes my point stands, you can earn money but trash cannot be a masterpiece.

And yes fighter will not earn this and it was not made to earn this, Hrithik is not a spoon fed sharabi nepo for whom whole industry makes movie to give him hits after every 5 disasters in the box office.

Other movies were not A rated. Animal is a game changer coz this is the 1st time in history an A rated movie has made this amount of money.

What A rated? There were 10 year olds spotted in the theaters. In India rating doesn’t count, if anything it actually perks up the curiosity and draws in more numbers.

but there’s only 1 A rated 300 crore film. I know your saying the rating system is hardly monitored but it mustve been to a certain extent if animal is the only one to broke thru to 500 plus
