• Uri was a blockbuster. (You say this when Ranbir only got his 2nd blockbuster last year and had more to do with Vanga than Ranbir)

• ZBZH was a super hit movie, a movie relaesed last year.

• Govinda Naam Mera and Sardar Udham (both because of COVID) are the only Vicky movies that went OTT, all his movies were theater releases.

Vicky is here to stay, watch an actor that is a GREAT actor, GREAT dancer, VERSTAILE, that gets CRITICAL ACCALAIM, BOX OFFICE HITS and NATIONAL AWARDS.

I know you not used to it. You had to watch mediocre Ranbir for 18 years.

That's the thing Ranbir has never been big on multistarrers so him doing an out n out 2 hero film with someone like Vicky who is nowhere close to Ranbir's popularity n stature, a film where heroine has the strongest role on paper and they have someone as insecure as Alia, all this at the peak of his career when he has finally managed to amasse launde lapade wali fan following.

RK is at the top of his game now and so many directors may want to work with him and he goes back to working with someone who he hated working . Previously , Alia was trying to star in Ramayana opp RK and got rejected. She is desperate to make her and her patidev a successful onscreen pair.

You maybe right however I don’t think so Animal success is all RK, we all know that south directors are a brand and Vanga is a brand too. Anyone in animal would have had the success, heck vanga even made Bobby deol become viral for a 4 minute song.

Man I don't even like Ranbir but his retelling of the way SLB used to physically and verbally abuse him was disturbing to read especially when Rishi Kapoor was of no help. What made him sign a film with SLB at his peak only he knows but ur theory makes complete sense.

Sam Bahadur got average tag. Vicky has no opening pull. Despite doing deshbhakti movies constantly, his highest opener is 8 cr Uri. Post pandemic, his highest opener is 6 cr Sam. That's why semi-nepo Vicky's dream project Aswathma got shelved and Shahid is doing a movie on that character now.
